Animal is one of Lars' friends along with Pi Piston and Sputz Ringley. Animal didn't start appearing with the gang until the second season. His first appearance was in the episode, "Say Hello to Cement Head," where he was simply seen in the background often at Madtown Skatepark. There was never an episode welcoming him to Lar's group and there was never an explanation. It can likely be assumed he was added so that Lar's group could have four kids just like Otto, Reggie, Twister, and Sam are a group of four, especially when playing street hockey.
Animal is clearly not his real name, but it is the nickname he is given. We never get to know Animal's real name. He does talk occasionally but is usually just there with the group not doing much.
He is shown to actually break down fairly easily due to fear.
He is voiced by Sam Saletta and later John Kassir.
