Mother: Leslie Crumpacker, sensei, businesswoman; Stepfather: Lee Stewart, entertainment safety consultant

Lewis Crumpacker (an original fancharacter based on several persons in creator Scott Sanchez's life) is a teenaged boy living in Ocean Shores. Like his friend Scott Sanchez, he is an expert waterman and experienced cave explorer, but different from Scott, Lou is a skilled technical rock climber and accomplished martial artist. He also enjoys tinkering with different mechanical stuff and is almost as good at fixing things as Rod Vandenack, whom he coaches in karate at his mother's dojo. He earns spending money by helping out at the dojo. His stepdad runs a support business in the entertainment industry that subspecializes in safety consulting for live stunt shows, "which is cool because one time I got to play Batman!"

When he was growing up, Lou's media heroes included Angus MacGyver and Duane Chapman; the latter less so after a professional mistake in Mexico but Lou still incorporates aspects of his style in his default outfit of black tank tops and blue jeans, rounded out by blue Chuck Taylors and a black and blue chequered beret. He is one of the few peers that Lars and his mob respects.

Lou and his mom Leslie recently started a program adapting martial arts techniques to enhance the performance and safety of extreme athletes. This experiment had its genesis when Rod brought the foursome to meet his senseis, and they reciprocated by inviting Lou to come surf and skate with them.
