THQ ("Toy Head Quarters") was a video game company in California. As holder of a contract from Nickelodeon to produce licensed video games, they produced all the Rocket Power video games. THQ produced other video games based on Nick properties, as well as stuff based on their own projects like Drawn to Life and Company of Heroes.
By 2012, THQ was in a rough spot with their shareholders and were on the verge of bankruptcy, forcing them to delay titles such as Metro: Last Light. They eventually couldn't pay back their debt and were forced into bankruptcy, and later liquidated completely.
